Pawsitive Rescuers of El Paso is a recognized 501c3, non profit organization, operating solely on the kindly donations of our supporters. Currently, we do not have our own shelter for the animals we rescue. All of our rescues are placed with fosters that volunteer their time and open up their homes to care for the needs of our rescues. Please, if you wish to help, fill out one of our Foster forms below and save a life! If you wish to adopt an animal from Pawsitive Rescuers of El Paso, please contact Karen Washington at (915)240-8358. You can fill out an adoption form below to save a life! If you foster, Pawsitive Rescuers of El Paso will pay for the vetting and food for the animal you foster. Pawsitive Rescuers of El Paso also relies on other local rescue shelters to provide emergency space to house our rescues. We in turn, also donate to other rescue organizations from time to time, to utilize other rescues in times of high need. Occasionally, if no fosters are available and rescue shelters are full, we will kennel/ board a rescue animal for a minimal amount of time, as kenneling/boarding fees are costly. MICROCHIP SCANNING If you find a stray/lost animal, Pawsitive Rescuers of El Paso can scan animal for a microchip. However, depending on the area you are located, it might be faster to take the animal to any city fire station, veterinary office or Animal Services of El Paso to get scanned. Please call (915)240-8358 for more information or to request a scan. PET RE-HOMING Pawsitive Rescuers of El Paso firmly believes that all pet family companions deserve a 'furever' home. This is a home where the pet can spend it's enitre lifetime, with it's family. While we understand that circumstances arise, where families decide to re-home their pets, Pawsitive Rescuers of El Paso is solely a rescue for abandoned/stray, neglected, injured and/or abused animals. If you are considering re-homing your pet, please take the time to consider training for behavioral issues, fence modification for animals that escape your home, daily exercise regiments (up to and including paying a dog walker if you cannot exercise your furry companion yourself), mentally stimulating toys, crate training, etc...before re-homing your pet. Links are provided on this page to assist you in your efforts.
